A great figure in electronic music and the French touch, a singular voice that made people dance and dream, Kavinsky has passed away. Born Vincent Belorgey, he grew up in Seine-Saint-Denis in a modest family. His childhood was lulled by Japanese culture, video games and music – imaginations that already resonated together. At the youth and culture center in his neighborhood, he learned to play the piano. After obtaining a diploma as a draftsman and model maker, he had several jobs. Invited to the Fête de la Musique at the Élysée in 2018, in 2024 he carried his emblematic title “Nightcall” until the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, alongside Angèle and the group Phoenix.
