Director de la Caasd supervisa los trabajos de construcción del Caoba Park

SantoDomingo.-The work on the construction of the CaobaPark recreational space is proceeding at a good pace, a commitment assumed by the general director of the Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (Caasd), engineer Felipe “Fellito” Subervi, with the Las Caobas sector, with the objective of changing the lives of hundreds of families in the surrounding area, in particular to the young people

The park is built on top of the Las Caobas ravine, an addition to Guajimía already cleaned up by the CAASD, surrounded by the Las Caobas primary school and the sports center. This will also be renovated to improve the conditions in which children and young people in the sector practice various activities every day.

During his customary weekly inspection tour, the general director of the CAASD said that these spaces will provide quality of life to the residents of the place.

“Caoba Park will have a basketball and soccer court, 300 linear meters of bicycle lane, among other attractions that will turn it into a modern and safe space for the families in the area,” said Fellito Suberví.

“This is a great job and we are going at a good pace, so President Luis Abinader would be inaugurating it very soon, if God and the climatic conditions allow us,” said the director of the Caasd, while reviewing the design presented by the contracting company in charge of the work.

Likewise, the engineer Suberví inspected the sanitation work on the stretches of the El Indio and Buenos Aires canals. There, above the river, a wide street with a sports court, benches and a children's play area is set up.

Likewise, he visited the Flor de Liz canyon stretch, which is in the process of being rehabilitated. The space will be provided with benches and other attractions for family enjoyment.

Guajimia is the most extensive canyon that Greater Santo Domingo has, with approximately 17.5 kilometers of dispersed tributaries. Currently, the CAASD maintains about 5.4 kilometers intervened with the tributaries El Indio Izquierdo and Indio Derecho, La Ureña, Café de Herrera, Los Olivos and Buenos Aires, in Santo Domingo Oeste, to benefit more than 350,000 people.

Prior to these works, the CAASD built, as part of the Guajimía sanitation project, 344 housing units located in the Hato Nuevo area.
