SanJuan.-Residents in the Las Maguanas-Hato Nuevo municipal district and surrounding areas of San Juan de la Maguana, benefited from a day of social assistance carried out by the General Directorate of Community Development (DGDC) and the Army of the Dominican Republic (ERD), in coordination with the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa), the National Health Service (SNS) and the Assistance Directorate Social and Community Food (Dasac).

During the day, part of the DGDC's Community Route program, medical services in different specialties were offered; (SeNaSa), as well as preventive guidance and other services aimed at improving the quality of life of participating families.

The initiative is part of the commitment of the General Directorate of Community Development, to bring, together with other institutions, social programs of the Government to the most vulnerable communities in the country, through actions that contribute to the well-being of the population, coordinated with public institutions.

The general director of Community Development, Dr. Modesto Guzmán, highlighted that these days represent an example of the Dominican Government's hand in working closely with the communities, bringing concrete solutions to those who need them most.

"It is the intentions of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, that we are in the most sensitive communities, and we are here with this full day of assistance," highlighted the director of the institution.

Likewise, representatives of the Dominican Republic Army, SeNaSa, Dasac and the SNS reaffirmed their willingness to continue joining efforts to develop initiatives that strengthen citizens' access to essential services; meanwhile, the community members thanked the organization for the assistance day.

Also present in the operation were Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, commander of the Dominican Republic Army; General Juan Pablo Ferreira Beras, Western Regional Director National Police; Ana María Castillo, provincial governor of San Juan; Deputy Elvira Corporándelos Santos; the regional manager of SeNaSa, Yokarki Ramírez; Fiordaliza Abreu and CésarBenzán, of the National Health Service; José Luis Diroc, provincial manager of the Directorate of Social Assistance and Community Food; Rogelio Herrera, provincial director of National Assets, and Josefina Valdez, director of the educational center, among others.

Meanwhile, for the DGDC, Félix Daniel Paulino, deputy director general; Frank García, advisor to the institution, and Francisco Mateo, provincial manager.
