DIDA supera las 824,000 orientaciones y amplía la defensa de los afiliados en primer semestre de 2026

SantoDomingo-.The General Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates (DIDA) provided 824,218 guidelines and defenses to affiliates of the Dominican Social Security System (SDSS) during the first half of 2026, as part of a management aimed at guaranteeing access to information and the effective defense of their rights.

Added to this assistance are the training of 10,283 people and the monitoring of 363 health service providers, actions with which the institution also contributes to improving the quality of the services they receive.

"At DIDA we work so that the rights of members are fully exercised. These results demonstrate our contribution to the strategic priorities of the Government to strengthen the Dominican Social Security System, through management focused on guiding, defending and accompanying citizens, as well as promoting the continuous improvement of the quality and opportunity of health services," stated the general director of the DIDA, Elías Báez.

Through the Guidance and Advocacy Directorate, the institution provided 824,218 guidelines, through which it offered members information about the services and benefits of the SDSS and support in the defense of their rights.

In terms of education, the Directorate of Promotion and Training held 193 talks, two diploma courses and eight workshops, which directly benefited 10,283 people between January and June. These days were aimed at collaborators from public and private institutions, social organizations, unions, students and citizens in general, with the purpose of strengthening knowledge about the rights and duties of members, as well as the benefits of Family Health Insurance, the Pension System and Occupational Risks.

As part of the actions aimed at strengthening the quality and timeliness of health services, the Monitoring and Research Directorate worked with 363 health service providers, 139 First Level Care Centers (CPNA), 88 private health centers, 83 public hospitals and 53 pharmacies, by applying 3,705 surveys to members.

The monitors showed an average satisfaction of 97.75% with the services received and an average level of knowledge of 90.5% about the Health Risk Administrator (ARS), the regime to which they belong and the services to which they are entitled.

Likewise, the institution held 34 community meetings in First Level Care Centers (CPNA), aimed at affiliates of the Subsidized Regime, with the purpose of identifying needs and findings related to the quality and opportunity of health services.

These actions reflect compliance with the mandate conferred on the DIDA by Law 87-01, which gives it the responsibility to guide, inform, defend and represent those affiliated with social security.
