Damascus, Aug. 3 (SANA)TheSyrian Investment Authorityheld talks on Monday with a delegation from Askandar Investment Company, based inIraq’s Kurdistan Region, to discuss investment opportunities and prospects for expanding the company’s activities in Syria.

The meeting between Syrian Investment Authority Chairman Talal al-Hilali and the delegation focused on potential areas of cooperation,investmentincentives and regulatory procedures aimed at improving the business environment and facilitating the implementation of new investment projects.

Both sides also discussed mechanisms for maintaining communication and following up on investment opportunities of mutual interest as part of the authority’s efforts to strengthen engagement with investors and streamline investment procedures.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered inErbil, Askandar Investment Company is a privately owned company operating in general trade and investment management, with projects spanning several economic sectors.

The discussions are part of Syria’s broader efforts to attract regional investment and expand economic cooperation following recent government initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate and facilitating private-sector projects.kA.ABD
