The event brought together representatives from national and local media outlets.

During the press tour, the participants became familiar with the accommodations and service standards at the Poykent Bukhara Old City Hotel, which meet modern tourism industry standards.

The Poykent Bukhara hotel chain, established at the initiative of local entrepreneurs, has reached a new level of development and become a prominent national tourism brand. More than 200 young people have been provided with permanent employment.

The chain recently opened its fifth hotel. The complex, which harmoniously blends elements of national architecture with modern hospitality standards, offers a high level of service.

In addition, construction of another modern five-star hotel in Bukhara is ongoing.

During the press conference, Deputy Hokim of Bukhara region Botir Shahriyorov emphasized that the reforms initiated by the Head of State are stimulating the development of tourism infrastructure and enhancing Bukhara’s international appeal.

As noted at the event, Bukhara was visited by 1.2 million tourists in 2017, and by 2025 this figure had increased to 7.5 million.

Exports of tourism services increased from $37.2 million to $736.9 million.

Tourism plays an important role in the region’s economic and cultural development. Support for entrepreneurship in this sector contributes to the hotel industry’s rapid growth.

Since 2017, the number of accommodation facilities has grown from 114 to 730, enabling the sector to accommodate more than 18,000 guests at a time. Around 70 new facilities are commissioned each year, reflecting the sector’s rapid pace of development.
