Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi : On the anniversary of the genocide committed by the ISIS terrorist organization against our Yazidi people and other components of our society, we remember one of the most horrific crimes to shock the conscience of humanity. We reaffirm that honoring the victims requires delivering justice, uncovering the fate of the missing, supporting survivors, rebuilding Sinjar, and ensuring the voluntary, safe, and dignified return of the displaced. As this painful anniversary coincides with the Arbaeen commemoration of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), we draw inspiration from its enduring values of standing against injustice and upholding truth and peace. We also honor the sacrifices of our security forces in all their formations, with the support of our brothers, friends, and the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, in achieving victory over ISIS.
