Cairo, Aug. 3 (SANA)Syria’s Saad Taloustan claimed the bronze medal in the under-12 rapidchess competitionat theArab Open Youth and Cadets Chess Championship in Egypt.

Taloustan finished third with six points after the conclusion of the nine-round rapid chess event on Sunday.

The result adds toSyria’s medal tallyat the regional tournament, which brings together young players from across the Arab world and concludes on Aug. 5.
