Lubumbashi : Raphaël Katebe annonce la remise des doléances des Katangais à Félix Tshisekedi
In front of the press on Saturday August 1, 2026, Raphaël Katebe Katoto explained that his approach consisted of listening to representatives of cultural, social and community organizations in order to better understand the difficulties that the population faces on a daily basis.
“I listened to all the cultural and social training. This allowed me to identify the real problems of the community. The main concerns concern security, cohabitation and the daily life of the population. I have collected the grievances and the memorandums which will be presented to the Head of State, for whom I reserve the scoop,” he declared at the microphone held by 7SUR7.CD.
Asked about speculation about a possible hidden political agenda linked to national dialogue or a revision of the Constitution, Raphaël Katebe Katoto assured that these questions were not part of his mission.
“Changing the Constitution is not the object of my mission. I came for the community, to get to grips with its real problems. The rest does not depend on me,” he insisted.
Raphaël Katebe Katoto declared himself satisfied with the progress of the consultations, affirming that the participants expressed themselves freely on the difficulties encountered in their daily lives. Among the subjects discussed are security, living together, the feeling of injustice, the exploitation of natural resources and other concerns expressed by the different components consulted.
Closing his mission in Lubumbashi, Raphaël Katebe Katoto appealed to the Katangese to favor unity and not to give in to rumors, manipulation or intoxication.
