Damascus, Aug.2 (SANA)PresidentAhmad al-Sharaaheld a meeting on Sunday at the People’s Palace in Damascus with Speaker of the People’s Assembly and members of the parliament, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Presidency, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, and Minister of Justice, and the Presidency’s advisers for religious affairs and media.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the government’s work and a number of public issues.

Members of thePeople’s Assemblyalso presented a number of remarks and inquiries on the topics under discussion.
