Damascus, Aug. 2 (SANA)Syrian Interior MinisterAnas Khattabmet Lebanese Ambassador to SyriaHenry Kastounin Damascus on Sunday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance coordination on issues of mutual interest.

The talks focused on expanding cooperation betweenSyriaandLebanonand coordinating efforts on a number of shared files, according to the Interior Ministry statement.

The meeting was attended by Col. Abdul Rahim Jabara, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior, and Mohammad Rashid, representative of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
