Motor Show 2026 exhibitors target expansion in Syrian market
Damascus, Aug. 2 (SANA)Companies participating inMotor Show 2026inDamascussaid the exhibition has provided an opportunity to showcase the latest automotive technologies, strengthen business partnerships and expand their presence in the Syrian market.
Representatives of local and international firms exhibiting at the four-day event highlighted advances in engine oils, lubricants, spare parts and tires aimed at improving vehicle performance and extending service life, while describing the exhibition as a platform for exploring new commercial opportunities.
Saif al-Abdullah, manager of a German lubricants company, told SANA on Sunday that the company offers more than 1,400 products for gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as trucks and industrial machinery.
He said the company’s lubricants are designed to provide service intervals of up to 15,000 kilometers and added that the exhibition had opened the door to discussions with several Syrian companies ahead of potential cooperation agreements.
Taher Maatouq, sales manager at a participating Chinese automotive company, said the growing number of vehicle brands entering the Syrian market has increased demand for high-quality spare parts and after-sales services.
He said the company plans to expand its dealer network acrossSyria, establish new maintenance centers in cooperation with specialized firms and strengthen partnerships with companies in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
Abdullah Rishi, business development manager at a Syrian company taking part in the exhibition, said the company had returned to the Syrian market after operating for several years in the United Arab Emirates and had rapidly expanded its presence across the country.
He said the company aims to achieve nationwide coverage while supplying tires for passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, trucks and heavy machinery, with a focus on reliable products and efficient customer service.
The 14th edition of Motor Show 2026, which opened on Thursday and concludes on Sunday at the Damascus Fairgrounds, features 48 local and international companies showcasing new vehicles, maintenance equipment, diagnostic technologies and road safety initiatives designed to support the development of Syria’s automotive sector and encourage investment.
