Occupied Jerusalem, Aug. 1 (SANA)A Palestinian was killed and several others were wounded on Saturday evening in anIsraeli occupationairstrike targeting southernGazaCity.

Israeli warplanes struck the al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, killing one Palestinian and injuring several others, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Palestinian medical sources said the death toll from Israel’s ongoing military offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,349, with 174,162 people wounded.

Since Oct. 11 of last year, 1,222 people have been killed and 4,053 injured, while the bodies of 804 victims have been recovered, The sources added.

They said a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in the streets because ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them amid the worsening humanitarian situation and continued attacks.
