Hosari: Aleppo Airport flights reflect growing confidence in Syrian civil aviation

Aleppo, Aug 1 (SANA)President of theGeneral Authority of Civil Aviation and Air TransportOmar Hosarisaid that the arrival of the first flights by three international airlines at Aleppo International Airport represents an important step reflecting the accelerating recovery of the Syrian civil aviation sector and the restoration of the airport’s role as a regional air transport hub.

In a post on the “X” platform, Hosari said that the arrival of the three flights on the same day is not merely the opening of new routes, but reflects growing confidence among international carriers in theSyrian civil aviationsector and confirms the success of efforts to reconnect Syria with regional and international air transport networks.

He added that this development marks the beginning of a process through which the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport is working to attract more airlines, expand the network of destinations, and strengthen the role of Aleppo International Airport as a main gateway linking Syria with the world.

Aleppo International Airport received three inaugural flights on Saturday operated by SunExpress from Antalya, Türkiye; LEAV Aviation from Düsseldorf, Germany; and Flynas from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the start of regular flights connecting Aleppo with these destinations.
