Ambassador Boudchiche maintains that both countries seek to form a maritime corridor
Commemorating the twenty-seventh anniversary of the ascension to the throne of King Mohammed VI, the Panamanian government sent a message of brotherhood to the people of the Kingdom of Morocco, through the Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, who highlighted the strength of the bilateral relationship and cooperation between both nations.
Orillac - when interviewed, prior to the start of the event led by the Moroccan ambassador to Panama, Bouchra Boudchiche, highlighted the solidity of the relationship between both countries, which he considered hoping to be maintained and always managed in the best way, as a priority in mutual bilateral exchange.
Minister Orillac - who was accompanied by his wife - added that the commercial relationship between Morocco and Panama has made important progress, with a sustainable strategy that has meant meetings of authorities from both nations at the highest level, achieving the signing of conventions and agreements, which reach the commercial area with the greatest movement in the region, such as the Colon Free Zone.
The ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Republic of Panama, Bouchra Boudchiche, during her remarks, thanked the Panamanian people and highlighted that the Moroccan vision, of being recognized as a true exporter of regional stability, finds in Panama a natural ally, sharing a vocation of service and bridges for a connection platform in an increasingly globalized world.
“Both countries, from Tangier to the Panama Canal, seek to build together a great Atlantic corridor that connects Africa and Latin America with the main global trade routes, through logistics integration, port modernization and maritime security,” he commented.
This, said the Moroccan diplomat, is beginning to produce concrete results with the first political consultations, business meetings, sectoral agreements and institutional exchanges, as well as information and capacity-building programs with initiatives related to food security, artistic cooperation and the exchange of technical experiences.
Likewise, he highlighted the bilateral and cooperative relationship that had a historic turning point in 2025 with the meeting between the Foreign Ministers of both countries for the signing of a roadmap that marks a new, ambitious and pragmatic stage, which will cease to be just a diplomatic situation and become a tangible reality.
Carlos Guevara Man, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge, as part of the National Government's message to the Moroccan people, expressed that Panama has observed with notable appreciation the process of transformation and development that the African nation has experienced during these 27 years of the reign of His Majesty Mohammed VI.
"Morocco and Panama, from different regions, but with convergent vocations, share the status of bridges between continents, facilitating the exchange of goods, services and investments... This shared vocation constitutes one of the most solid pillars on which we will continue to strengthen our bilateral relationship," he highlighted.
The anniversary of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI of Morocco is celebrated every July 30, commemorating his accession to the throne in 1999, which this year marks exactly 27 years since he succeeded his father, King Hassan II. This celebration represents the most important national holiday in the country, symbolizing the unity and continuity of the Moroccan State around the Crown.
