Riyadh, July 31 (SANA)Saudi ArabiaandJordanwelcomed U.S. PresidentDonald Trump‘s announcement of a new agreement to implement the next phase of his plan to end the war in theGaza Strip, which includes the disarmament of the territory alongside the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

In a statement posted on X, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry expressed appreciation for the efforts of Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, the United States, the Peace Council and all partners who contributed to the breakthrough. It reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to implementing the comprehensive peace plan endorsed by the U.N. Security Council in Resolution 2803, in coordination with regional and international partners.

The ministry stressed the importance of implementing all phases of the agreement within a defined timetable in a credible and final manner.

It also underscored the need for the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, the deployment of an international stabilization force, the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid and support for reconstruction.

The ministry said the agreement should serve as the starting point for a comprehensive political process leading to the full implementation of the peace plan and guaranteeing the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights, foremost among them the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.

In a separate statement, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry also welcomed the agreement and praised the efforts of the partners who helped achieve the breakthrough. It reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to working with regional and international partners to implement the comprehensive peace plan endorsed by the Security Council in the same resolution.

The ministry stressed the importance of carrying out all agreed phases within a defined timetable, calling for the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, the deployment of an international stabilization force, the sustained delivery of humanitarian aid and support for reconstruction.

The return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza and preserving the unity of the occupied Palestinian territories are essential for the successful implementation of the peace plan and the achievement of lasting stability,It added.

Earlier on Friday, Trump announced the agreement, describing it as a major step toward achieving lasting peace and security and paving the way for the administration of Gaza to be transferred to a new Palestinian government working in coordination with the Peace Council to support the Palestinian people.
