Kuwaiti forces intercept Iranian drones entering airspace
Kuwait City, July 31 (SANA)Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said on Friday that its armed forces had detected and destroyedIranian dronesthat entered the country’s airspace and targeted several vital and military installations.
Ministry spokesman Saud Abdulaziz al-Atwan said in a statement posted on X that Kuwaiti forces detected hostile drones early Friday and engaged the targets, resulting in their destruction.The operation caused material damage due to falling debris, but no injuries were reported, al-Atwan said.
He added that Kuwaiti forces remain fully prepared to carry out their duties and take all necessary measures to protect Kuwait’s sovereignty, security and stability.
The announcement came a day afterKuwait’s Ministry of Defensesaid an Iranian attack targeted a building belonging to a Chinese company in northern Kuwait, killing one worker and causing extensive damage to the facility.
