Sherzod Hidoyatov, Minister of Construction, Housing, and Communal Services, met with Guido De Sanctis, the newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Uzbekistan.

The Minister sincerely congratulated the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan and wished him success in his important duties.

The meeting covered prospects for enhancing cooperation, sharing best practices in architecture and urban planning, and carrying out joint projects to improve the housing and communal services system.

Special emphasis was on sustainable regional development, promoting modern urbanism principles, adopting energy-efficient and eco-friendly construction technologies, improving earthquake resistance, and upgrading communal infrastructure. The parties discussed studying Italy’s best practices in architecture and engineering and applying them to Uzbekistan’s conditions. They also explored opportunities to expand direct collaboration between industry organizations, scientific institutions, and businesses through joint workshops, professional development programs, and practical projects involving specialists.

As noted, adopting innovative approaches in construction, leveraging advanced technologies effectively, and integrating international experience will support the development of urban planning policy and construction.
