Azizah and I attended the Parade Ceremony in conjunction with the National Heroes Day Celebration 2026 at Dataran Pahlawan Negara today, to remember the services and sacrifices of the heroes who have defended the sovereignty and security of the country. The performance of Darah Pahlawan Ulu Legong pantomime was quite touching, bringing back the story of the bravery of seven security personnel who died in the battle against communist terrorists in Ulu Legong, Baling, Kedah on 29 October 1981. I also conveyed my appreciation to Private Md Said Adam who survived the incident, the Commanding Officer of the 22 Royal Malay Soldier Regiment (22 RAMD), Lt Col Hamzah Othman, as well as the relatives of the members involved. Indeed, the peace we enjoy today did not come easily, but was born from the courage, loyalty and sacrifice of the nation's heroes. Their services will continue to be etched in our memory and become a trust for us to defend the sovereignty of our homeland. Happy Heroes' Day 2026. May Allah SWT have mercy on the souls of fallen heroes, grant strength to all members of the Malaysian Armed Forces and security forces, and preserve a peaceful, sovereign and prosperous Malaysia. #MalaysiaMADANI #MADANIwork #YakinMADANI

Saya dan Azizah menghadiri Istiadat Perbarisan Sempena Sambutan Hari Pahlawan Negara 2026 di Dataran Pahlawan Negara hari ini, bagi mengenang jasa dan pengorbanan para pahlawan yang telah mempertahankan kedaulatan serta keamanan negara. Persembahan pantomim Darah Pahlawan Ulu Legong cukup menyentuh hati, mengangkat kembali kisah keberanian tujuh anggota keselamatan yang gugur dalam pertempuran menentang pengganas komunis di Ulu Legong, Baling, Kedah pada 29 Oktober 1981. Saya turut menyampaikan penghargaan kepada Prebet Md Said Adam yang terselamat dalam peristiwa itu, Pegawai Pemerintah 22 Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja (22 RAMD), Lt Kol Hamzah Othman, serta waris anggota yang terlibat. Sesungguhnya, keamanan yang kita nikmati hari ini bukan hadir dengan mudah, tetapi lahir daripada keberanian, kesetiaan dan pengorbanan para pahlawan negara. Jasa mereka akan terus terpahat dalam ingatan dan menjadi amanah untuk kita mempertahankan kedaulatan tanah air. Selamat Hari Pahlawan 2026.
