INABIE entregará más de 260,000 kits de utilería escolar en la región Este
Santo Domingo.–The National Student Welfare Institute (INABIE) reported that the delivery of school supplies kits to the Educational Districts of the Eastern region is progressing, as part of the distribution process developed by the institution for the next school year.
The distribution includes the Educational Districts of the provinces of La Altagracia, La Romana, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, San Pedro de Macorís and Monte Plata, where INABIE delivers the school kits that are subsequently distributed to educational centers for delivery to students.
In this region, 267,544 kits will be delivered to the same number of students, belonging to 20 school districts.
The distribution began in the Educational Districts of the provinces of La Altagracia and El Seibo and will continue to be developed progressively in the rest of the region, in accordance with the planning established by the institution.
For the 2026-2027 school period, the Dominican Government will distribute 1,806,872 school kits for students in the public education system in 6,577 educational centers, as part of a policy aimed at guaranteeing equity in access to education.
This initiative represents an estimated savings of between RD 3,864 and RD 5,433 per student, directly impacting more than 1.4 million families throughout the country.
The executive director of INABIE, Adolfo Pérez, highlighted that the distribution of school supplies constitutes one of the main support policies for Dominican families and stated that the institution maintains a continuous process of delivery to educational districts to facilitate the educational centers' availability of supplies intended for students.
Educational centers deliver school kits
INABIE reminded parents and guardians that the institution distributes school supplies to the Educational Districts, from where they are sent to the educational centers for delivery to the students, in accordance with the organization and schedule established by the educational authorities of each district.
The school supplies distributed by INABIE are made up of kits adapted to the educational level of the students. For the beginning level, the package includes a backpack with a sketchbook, colored pencils, pencil sharpener and charcoal pencil. At the primary and secondary levels, it contains a backpack with three notebooks, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, charcoal pencil, eraser, set of pencils and ruler.
Likewise, at all educational levels, the props include a uniform consisting of a light blue polo shirt, navy blue pants, a pair of white socks and a pair of shoes.
With the distribution of these kits, the Dominican Government, through INABIE, reaffirms its commitment to school permanence, equal opportunities, and alleviating the economic burden of families.

Los centros educativos entregan los kits escolares El INABIE recordó a los padres, madres y tutores que lainstitución distribuye la utilería escolara los Distritos Educativos, desde donde es remitida a los centros educativos para su entrega a los estudiantes, de acuerdo con la organización y cronograma establecidos por las autoridades educativas de cada demarcación. La utilería escolar distribuida por el INABIE está compuesta porkits adaptados al nivel educativo de los estudiantes. Para el nivel inicial, el paquete incluye una mochila con cuaderno de dibujo, lápices de colores, sacapuntas y lápiz de carbón. En los niveles primario y secundario, contiene una mochila con tres cuadernos, lápices de colores, sacapuntas, lápiz de carbón, goma de borrar, juego de cartabones y regla. Asimismo, en todos los niveles educativos, la utileríaincluye un uniformecompuesto por un polocher azul celeste, pantalón azul marino, un par de medias blancas y un par de zapatos. Con la distribución de estos kits, el Gobierno dominicano, a través del INABIE, reafirma sucompromisocon la permanencia escolar, laigualdad de oportunidadesy el alivio de la cargaeconómica de las familias.
