Kuala Lumpur, July 30 (SANA)The Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awardedSaudi Arabiathe hosting rights for the next three editions of the AFC Champions League Elite Finals, making the Kingdom the permanent host of the tournament after it had previously staged the competition on a temporary basis.

Saudi Arabia successfully organized the first two editions of the competition, whose final stages are held under a centralized format in one city, featuring the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The format was introduced with the launch of the competition’s new structure at the start of the 2024–25 season.

The upcoming edition of the tournament, which brings together domestic league champions and leading clubs from across Asia, will expand the league stage from 24 to 32 teams, broadening participation in the continent’s premier club competition.
