I was very pleased to host the President of Lebanon, Mr. Aoun, in our country. 🇹🇷 🇱🇧 We continue our strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of friendly and brotherly Lebanon, with whom we have strong ties. During our meetings, we discussed regional developments, especially in light of the ongoing Israeli occupation in the south of Lebanon. Lebanon is one of the countries that will benefit most from the stability, peace and cooperation environment that we have aimed for in the Middle East from the very beginning. We have been closely following Mr. Aoun's recent diplomatic initiatives. We believe that the increasing dialogue between Lebanon and Syria is beneficial for both countries. We are ready to make the necessary contribution to strengthen the relations between two countries with a difficult past. The completion of the mandate of the United Nations Interim Task Force UNIFIL, located in the south of Lebanon, will constitute an important development. As Turkey, we want to take part in all initiatives to support security in the region and ensure Lebanon's sovereignty after the withdrawal of the current international force. In addition, our support to the Lebanese Armed Forces in the context of security will continue.
