Doha/Amman, July 30 (SANA)Qatar and Jordan on Thursday condemnedIranian attacksonKuwait, voicing support for theGulf stateafter an attack on a building belonging to a Chinese company killed one worker and warning that continued attacks risk further destabilizing the region.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministrysaid the attacks targeting Kuwait and Jordan constituted a “flagrant violation” of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries and a breach ofinternational law, theU.N.Charter and the principles of good neighborliness.

It said the continued attacks represented a dangerous escalation that could undermine political and diplomatic efforts to reduce regional tensions, calling for an immediate halt to military operations, a return to dialogue and negotiations, and adherence to understandings reached through diplomatic channels.

Qatar also reaffirmed its full solidarity with Jordan and Kuwait and expressed support for measures taken by both countries to safeguard their sovereignty and security.

In a separate statement, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack on the facility in Kuwait, calling it a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, as well as a breach of international law and the U.N. Charter.

The ministry reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Kuwait and backed all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Earlier on Thursday, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said the Iranian attack had targeted a building belonging to a Chinese company in the north of the country, killing one worker and causing extensive material damage. Earlier the same day, the Jordanian Armed Forces said they had intercepted five missiles targeting the Kingdom.

The attacks come amid heightened security tensions in the region, with Kuwait and other Gulf states reporting repeated Iranian missile and drone attacks.
