Cairo , July 30 (SANA)At least four Palestinians, including two children, were killed inIsraeli strikesacross the Gaza Strip on Thursday, health officials and medics said, as mediators held a new round of talks with Hamas leaders aimed at implementing a U.S.-backed plan to end the war.

Medics said an Israeli airstrike struck a tent in Khan Younis in southernGaza, killing a man and an 8-year-old girl.

In a separate strike, an 18-month-old child was killed and eight other people were wounded when an Israeli attack targeted a house in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, according to medics.

The Israeli military said both strikes targeted Hamas members.Later Thursday, another Israeli strike hit a Palestinian riding a bicycle near tents sheltering displaced people in Gaza City, killing one person and wounding 10 others.

According to health officials in Gaza, the latest deaths bring the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was announced to more than 1,200, most of them civilians. Hamas does not typically disclose the number of its fighters killed.

Theceasefireended large-scale combat but has not halted near-daily Israeli strikes. Israel says militants in Gaza have killed four of its soldiers since the truce took effect.

Most of Gaza’s population of about 2 million people is currently living in a narrow strip of land, largely in tents or damaged buildings, while facing difficult humanitarian conditions.
