HE The President of the Republic, José Antonio Kast, toured the coastal edge of the city of La Serena together with the regional governor, the presidential delegate of Coquimbo and the mayor of the commune. During the visit, the authorities confirmed on the ground the accumulation of debris and waste present in different sectors of the beach, and addressed the necessary measures to advance its removal. On the occasion, the Head of State committed to the deployment of cleaning teams to support the recovery efforts of the coastal edge, in coordination with the regional authorities and communal. "We will do everything possible to make the resources available, just as we did during the emergency. The tour allowed us to reinforce the joint work between the Government, the regional government and the municipality, with the purpose of reestablishing the cleanliness and safety conditions of the beaches, and facilitating the recovery of a space of high value for the community and the tourist activity of La Serena.
President Kast highlighted the importance of acting quickly and coordinated to respond to the needs of the city and advance the recovery of the affected sectors.
