Drug Enforcement Department seizes 186,000 captagon pills, arrests two traffickers
Aleppo, July 29 (SANA) The Drug Enforcement Department said it had arrested two drug traffickers and seized 186,000captagon pillsduring an operation in Afrin area of Aleppo province.
The operation was carried out by the department’s Aleppo branch in coordination with the Special Tasks Forces following an intelligence-led surveillance and monitoring operation.
Authorities said the seized pills were packed in 186 bags with a total weight of 32.320 KG.
The traffickers have been referred to the competent judicial authorities for legal proceedings, the department said.
On Friday, theDrug Enforcement Department(DED) branch in Aleppo arrested three individuals involved in drug trafficking in the Suleiman al-Halabi neighborhood, seizing approximately 28 kilograms of Captagon pills, equivalent to about 160,000 pills.
