Saudi’s Al-Nassr beats Syria’s Al-Hilal 5-0 in WAFF Women’s Clubs Championship opene

Amman, July 29 (SANA)Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassropened its campaign at theWest Asian Football Federation(WAFF) Women’s Clubs Championship with a 5-0 victory overSyria’s Al-Hilalin Jordan on Tuesday.

The six-team tournament features two groups. Group A includesJordan’s Al-Ittihad, FC Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates and Beirut Football Academy, while Group B comprises Syria’s Al-Hilal, Iraq’s Naft Al-Shamal and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.

Al-Hilal will next face Iraq’s Naft Al-Shamal on Saturday at 5 p.m. local time.

The group stage is being played in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinals will meet in the final.
