DGM moderniza sistema de inspecciones migratorias y trámites administrativos
Santo Domingo.-The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) optimizes its immigration inspection processes and administrative procedures, through a new update of the DOM-02 computer system, which allows it to safely improve and streamline its operations, providing a more modern, efficient and organized service to the user.
In relation to the inspection processes, this computer update helps to more easily verify the traveler's identity, comparing the passport photo with the image stored in the passport's electronic chip, making verification more reliable, preventing identity theft and reducing the margin of error during document validation.
In addition, the system displays on a single screen the images taken by the passport reader with natural, infrared and ultraviolet light, which strengthens the authenticity control with multispectral analysis that reviews the passport from different types of lighting and thanks to which the security elements are confirmed. Thus, the inspector can more easily detect possible alterations or fraud attempts, as the photographic history of the traveler is preserved, which allows the identity to be validated through previous queries, and at the same time the efficiency of the process is increased in an organized and easy-to-interpret manner.
On the other hand, from the administrative area, the DGM reports that the modernization of its computer system simplifies collection management and makes user service more efficient by standardizing the registration process, in a more flexible and controlled way.

Además, el sistema muestra en una sola pantalla las imágenes tomadas por el lector de pasaportes conluz natural, infrarroja y ultravioleta, lo cual fortalece el control de autenticidad conanálisis multiespectralque revisa el pasaporte desde diferentes tipos de iluminación y gracias a lo cual se confirman loselementos de seguridad. Así, el inspector puededetectar con mayor facilidadposibles alteraciones o intentos de fraudes, al conservarse elhistorial fotográfico del viajeroque permitevalidar la identidadmediante consultas anteriores, y se incrementa al mismo tiempo, laeficiencia del procesode manera organizada y de fácil interpretación. Por otro lado, desde el área administrativa, laDGMinforma que la modernización de su sistema informático simplifica lagestión de cobrosy hacemás eficientela atención al usuario al estandarizarse el proceso de registro, de una formamás flexible y controlada.
