ЖамиятJoining the International Institute of Welding: Progressing toward worldwide industrial benchmarks20:00 / 28.07.2026

For Uzbekistan, membership offers an opportunity to more actively adopt international approaches to personnel training and the development of professional competencies in areas such as International Welding Engineer (IWE), International Welding Technologist (IWT), International Welding Specialist (IWS), International Welding Practitioner (IWP), and International Welding Inspector (IWI). This is important for industrial exports. The greater the compliance of products with international requirements for the quality of welded joints, production processes, and personnel qualifications, the easier it is for enterprises to enter international production chains and participate in major infrastructure and industrial projects.

Another key aspect is establishing a national system for training and certifying specialists. The IIW offers standardized methods for education, professional growth, and personnel certification, along with procedures for authorizing national bodies to carry out these programs. Securing IIW membership is a crucial step toward building a national framework for international qualifications and certification. The Almalyk State Technical Institute has officially been appointed as Uzbekistan’s national representative in this organization.

Over time, IIW membership will help develop a modern national system in Uzbekistan for welding technologies, education, qualifications, and certification, connected to the global professional community.
