Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Chairwoman of the Council of Federation Valentina Matviyenko at the Kremlin The speaker of the upper house of Russia's parliament presented a report on the results of the Federation Council's work during the spring session. Priority topics included demography, support for participants and veterans of special military operations and their families, and the modernisation of recreation and healthcare infrastructure for children. In addition, Valentina Matviyenko briefed the President on other areas of the Federation Council's work: the integration of reunified constituent entities into the country's legal and socioeconomic systems, work to support indigenous minorities, and international engagements.
