New Delhi, July 28 (SANA)Shipping through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait increased to its highest level in four days as hopes for a potential agreement between the United States and Iran boosted confidence inRed Sea navigation, according to data from maritime analytics firm Kpler.Reuters, citing Kpler data, reported that 28 vessels transited theBab al-MandebStrait, including four oil tankers entering the Red Sea, while traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remained subdued.Despite the increase, vessel traffic through Bab al-Mandeb remains below the month’s peak of 46 ships recorded on July 14, the data showed.The improvement in Red Sea shipping followed comments byU.S. President Donald Trumpindicating progress in negotiations with Iran, while warning that military operations could resume if the talks fail.Meanwhile, only six vessels transited theStrait of Hormuzon Monday, underscoring continued weak shipping activity through the strategically important waterway.
