Capitals, July 27 (SANA)Arab countries, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Parliament and the Muslim World League have strongly condemneddrone attacksthat targeted oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and Riyadh, according to statements carried by their respective state news agencies.

TheUAEForeign Ministry condemned the attacks in the strongest terms, describing them as a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, renewing its solidarity withSaudi Arabiaand support for measures to protect the Kingdom’s security, according to a statement on X.

Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry condemned the “terrorist attack,” saying it constitutes a flagrant violation ofinternational lawand the UN Charter, reaffirmingBahrain‘s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for its measures to protect its sovereignty and security, according to a statement on X.

Kuwaitexpressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks, renewing its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security and sovereignty, stressing that the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and that of GCC states, according to a Foreign Ministry statement on X.

Yemenstrongly condemned the “terrorist attacks” on Saudi Arabia, affirming its solidarity and support for all measures taken to protect its territory and citizens, according to a Foreign Ministry statement on X.

GCC, Arab Parliament, Muslim World League condemn attacks

GCCSecretary-General Jassem Mohamed al-Budaiwi condemned the attacks, describing them as a “serious escalation” and a “flagrant violation of international law” and a direct threat to regional security, expressing support for all measures Saudi Arabia takes to protect its security and sovereignty, according to a statement on the GCC website.

Arab ParliamentSpeaker Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Yamahi expressed the parliament’s strong condemnation, stressing that the attacks represent a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s security and stability and a threat to regional security, affirming the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, according to a statement on the parliament’s website.

Muslim World LeagueSecretary-General Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulkarim al-Issa condemned the attacks in a statement on X, reaffirming full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and all measures it takes to safeguard its security and sovereignty.

Earlier Monday, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed drones launched from Iraqi territory that attempted to target oil facilities in the Eastern Province and Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Saudi air defense systems intercepted and destroyed six drones launched toward the Eastern Province and three toward Riyadh, a military source told SPA.

The attacks mark the latest in a series of Iranian-backed drone strikes onGulf states, withIraq‘s Kurdistan region previously serving as a launchpad for attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Saudi authorities have confirmed that the attacks caused no casualties or damage.
