Washington, July 26 (SANA)The U.S. military said on Saturday it had diverted 12 commercial vessels, disabled two and boarded two others since resuming its maritime blockade of Iranian ports earlier this month.In a statement posted on X,U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM)said the blockade of Iran “remains fully in effect.”“As of July 25, U.S. Central Command has diverted 12 commercial vessels that attempted to breach the blockade, disabled two vessels that failed to comply, and boarded two others to verify full compliance,” the statement said.Earlier on Saturday, the U.S. military said it had fired on a tanker attempting to breach the blockade, disabling the vessel.Washington resumed its maritime blockade ofIranian portson July 15, saying the move was a response to continued Iranian attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
