Syria’s Investment Authority explores cooperation, strategic partnerships in UAE
Abu Dhabi, July 26 (SANA)Syrian Investment AuthorityChairman Talal al-Hilali met during his visit to theUnited Arab Emirateswith representatives of the private office of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mana bin Khalifa Al Maktoum (AMKM) to discuss investment cooperation and opportunities to develop strategic partnerships between the two countries, the authority said on Sunday.
The two sides exchanged views on the importance of building clearinvestmentframeworks, structuring projects according to professional foundations and well-studied standards, and enhancing institutional coordination to transform investment opportunities into practical projects with sustainable development impact, according to an authority statement.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing dialogue with regional and international partners and building partnerships based on trust, transparency and shared vision to create sustainable economic value, support development and enhanceinvestment opportunitiesin Syria and the region, the statement added.
The Syrian Investment Authority continues its efforts to expand cooperation with regional and international partners and attract investments to various productive and service sectors by promoting available investment opportunities, developing the investment environment, and strengthening partnerships that support economic development, create job opportunities, and increase the private sector’s contribution toreconstruction.
The UAE has emerged as a key partner for Syria, with Emirati companies showing growing interest in Syria’s reconstruction and investment opportunities. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mana bin Khalifa Al Maktoum (AMKM), a UAE-based family office overseeing long-term interests across investment, venture innovation, commercial real estate development and investment, strategic affairs, commercial partnerships, and social impact.
