Damascus, July 25 (SANA)Türkiye, theArab Parliament, and theIraqi Kurdistan Region(KRI) president offered condolences to the Syrian people and government over the deadly traffic accident on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus road that killed 35 people and injured 30 others.

Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi extended his condolences in a statement posted on X, expressing his deepest sympathies to the Syrian Arab Republic, its leadership, government, parliament, and people, over the victims of the tragic accident.

Al Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Syria, offering sincere condolences to the victims’ families and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.

For its part,Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairssaid it was “deeply saddened” by the loss of life in the accident on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus highway.

“We pray for mercy upon those who lost their lives in the accident and extend our sincere condolences to their families and to the people of Syria,” the ministry added.

Iraqi Kurdistan Region President NechirvanBarzanialso expressed his condolences, saying: “We received with deep sorrow the news of the tragic traffic accident in the Syrian Arab Republic, which claimed the lives of a number of citizens, most of them members of the Ministry of Interior.”.

He added we extend our sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and to the Syrian government.

In a statement published on its official website,Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairsexpressed the kingdom’s solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic, its leadership, government, and people, following the tragic accident, which left dozens dead and injured.

The ministry extended Bahrain’s sincere condolences to the Syrian government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

A traffic accident on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus highway earlier on Saturday left 35 people dead and 30 others injured, according to a preliminary toll.
