Russia, Ukraine intensify strikes as casualties mount and infrastructure is hit

Kyiv/Moscow, July 25 (SANA)Russia and Ukraine carried out new attacks on Saturday, with a Russian missile strike in the Kyiv region killing 10 people and injuring around 100 others, while a Ukrainian drone attack disrupted operations at a major Russian oil terminal on theBlack Sea.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said a Russian missile strike targeted an event at a military training ground in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, killing 10 people and injuring about 100 others. He said authorities had opened a criminal investigation into possible negligence in the organization and conduct of the event.

Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone attack disrupted loading operations at the Sheskharis oil terminal, one of Russia’s largest oil terminals on the Black Sea, halting oil shipments, according to Russian officials.

The governor of Russia’s Tyumen region said a Ukrainian drone targeted an oil refinery in the area, triggering a fire that emergency crews were working to contain, in what officials said was part of a widening pattern of reciprocal attacks between the two sides.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces carried out strikes against Ukrainian logistics facilities, drone production sites, and troop positions in several areas. The ministry claimed Russian forces had made advances in parts of the Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, inflicting significant losses on Ukrainian forces.

The ministry also said Russian drones targeted a cargo vessel that had been detected by a Geran-4 reconnaissance drone, while the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed an unmanned Ukrainian naval craft in the Black Sea.

The Russian Athletics Federation suspended events at the Russian Athletics Championships in Yekaterinburg on Saturday following a reported threat of a drone attack. A drone alert was issued in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region, where the city is located, according to regional Governor Denis Pasler.

Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian territory and infrastructure, while Ukrainian forces carry out attacks against military and strategic sites inside Russia, as the conflict intensifies and diplomatic efforts remain stalled.
