Damascus, July 25 (SANA)UNSecretary-GeneralAntonio Guterresmet on Saturday with heads of Syria’s national bodies overseeing transitional justice, missing persons issues, and legislative elections during his visit to Damascus.

The meeting at Tishreen Palace brought together Abdul Basit Abdul Latif, head of theNational Transitional Justice Authority;Mohammad Reda Jalkhi, head of the National Commission for Missing Persons; Mohammed Taha al-Ahmad, head of the Higher Committee for People’s Assembly Elections; and Raghda Zeidan, head of the committee tasked with investigating the fate of the sons and daughters of detainees.

Separately, Quneitra Governor Ghassan al-Sayed Ahmad met with Guterres at Tishreen Palace, in the presence of Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ibrahim Olabi.
