Türkiye, Egypt, France offer condolences to Syria over deadly Deir Ezzor road accident
Damascus/Cairo/Paris, July 25 (SANA)Türkiye, Egypt and France have offered condolences to the Syrian people and government following a road accident on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus highway that killed 35 people and injured 30 others, according to preliminary figures.
Turkish Ambassador to DamascusNuh Yılmazextended his condolences in a post on X, saying: “On this painful day, I offer my condolences to the brotherly Syrian people” expressing solidarity with families of the victims.
Egypt‘s Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the Syrian government and people, affirming Egypt’s full solidarity with Syria following the tragedy, according to a statement on X. The ministry offered its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
France‘s Embassy in Syria expressed its condolences and sympathy over the road accident victims, saying in a statement on X: “We extend our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Syrian government, the Syrian people, and the families of the victims of the tragic road accident that occurred on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus highway.” The embassy wished all the injured a swift and full recovery.
A deadly road accident occurred earlier Saturday on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus highway after two passenger buses collided, leaving dozens of people dead and injured. Authorities activated emergency response services, dispatched rescue teams to the scene, and placed hospitals in affected provinces on high alert to receive the injured and provide necessary medical care.
