Edeeste garantiza suministro eléctrico en la Villa de los Atletas con circuito exclusivo para el complejo
Santo Domingo Este.–The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) reported that the works to strengthen the electrical infrastructure in the Athletes' Village of the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, located in the area of Ciudad Juan Bosch, were satisfactorily completed, thus guaranteeing the reliability of the electrical service during the development of the sporting event.
In this sense, the distributor indicated that it enabled an exclusive circuit called EBRI08 and, at the same time, conditioned the EBRI01 circuit to operate as a backup, strengthening the supply required for the tranquility and comfort of the athletes, technical and organizational staff.
Edeeste pointed out that, with these actions, the commitment to modernizing the distribution network and supporting one of the most important sporting events that the Dominican Republic will host is reaffirmed, ensuring a stable and safe electrical supply for the facilities that will receive the participating delegations.
Likewise, the company said that important works were carried out to strengthen the operational capacity of the network in Ciudad Juan Bosch, allowing the electrical demand to be redistributed and the performance of the existing circuits to be optimized, which generates an increase in the stability of the system and the quality of the service that customers in the area receive.
It should be noted that the enabling of the EBRI08 circuit as the exclusive feeder of the Athletes' Village represents a strategic step to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of this complex, while the conditioning of the EBRI01 as a backup circuit provides an additional level of operational security in the event of any eventuality, in accordance with the standards required for an infrastructure of this magnitude.
Edeested highlighted that the execution of these works was possible thanks to rigorous technical planning and the coordinated work of its specialized teams, who developed the necessary maneuvers to complete the project within the established schedule and with the highest safety and quality criteria.
Finally, the energy company reiterated that these investments not only strengthen the electrical infrastructure that will support the Central American and Caribbean Games, but also leave permanent benefits for the residents, businesses and development projects of Ciudad Juan Bosch and nearby communities, by having a more robust, reliable and prepared network to respond to the growth of energy demand in this important area of the Santo Domingo Este municipality.
