Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait intercept Iranian attacks

Amman/Manama/Kuwait City, July 24 (SANA)Air defense systems in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait intercepted Iranian missiles and drones on Friday, as regional tensions continued to escalate amid the ongoing U.S.-Israeli-Iranian war.

The Jordanian Armed Forces said its air defense systems and Royal Air Force aircraft shot down seven missiles and six drones launched from Iran toward the kingdom. A military source said the interceptions caused no casualties or material damage, adding that engineering teams had secured the impact sites while the armed forces remained on high operational alert.

In Bahrain, the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks targeting the kingdom. It said all military units remained at the highest level of defensive readiness and urged the public to avoid suspicious objects or debris resulting from the attacks.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces said its air defense systems intercepted Iranian drone attacks targeting the country. The General Staff said any explosion sounds heard were the result of successful interceptions and called on the public to follow safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

The announcements come as Iran continues attacks on several countries in the region, amid the ongoing military escalation that began with the U.S.-Israeli-Iranian war in late February.F.J.
