The President of Uzbekistan expressed serious concern over the continuing tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing that it is more important than ever to exercise restraint and resume dialogue.

During the telephone conversation, the parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation, particularly by expanding interaction in trade and the economy, investment, transport, and cultural and humanitarian affairs.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Iran also exchanged views on other issues on the agenda.
