The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, handed over the renovated Armando Dely Valdés Stadium, an emblematic work that strengthens the sports infrastructure of the province of Colón and reaffirms the commitment of the National Government to the rescue of high-impact projects for Panamanian youth and sports. With this work, which represented an investment of B/.7,116,431.19, a population of more than 280 thousand people in the province of Colón benefits.
The work included new stands with a capacity of 1,500 seats and the comprehensive rehabilitation of the stadium, returning to the province of Colón a modern and functional setting for the development of football and athletics. "This stadium was another outstanding debt with you. We are paying commitments of others, but we do it with pride, because I am not interested in who promised it, but rather who is going to use it and enjoy it: you," said President Mulino during the event. He said that after 12 years, private employment was recovered, leaving behind public appointments to disguise unemployment data. We are going to generate more work, attract more investments with a strengthened economy and also thinking about the future," said President Mulino.
This recovery is also reflected in other areas. The Ministry of Environment reported that 1,660 environmental studies were resolved, 850 technical inspections have been carried out and there are 1,830 digitalized processes.
Mulino highlighted that, since July 1, the Panama Pa' Ti program is the north of the government's management to generate jobs, simplify people's lives, lower the costs of the basic basket and bring water to more Panamanian homes.

Estamos pagando compromisos de otros, pero lo hacemos con orgullo, porque no me interesa quién la prometió, sino quiénes la van a usar y disfrutar: ustedes”, manifestó el presidente Mulino durante el acto.Indicó que su gestión está comprometida con apoyar a Colón, detallando que en 24 meses ha sido abierto el Hospital Miguel Amador Guerrero, el Mariano Bula, El Espacio del Emprendedor; se reactivó el Corredor del Caribe, que es la primera vía ecológica de América Central, y se entregaron 1,200 viviendas. El gobierno también avanza en la licitación de la carretera Cuango - Santa Isabel, para desarrollar el turismo en la Costa Arriba. “Y no se trata de una idea alocada, sino de un proyecto que cuenta con la colaboración del presidente y amigo Luis Abinader, de República Dominicana”, resaltó Mulino. Anunció que también está por presentar una ley de incentivos turísticos, “pero una ley seria, no de partidas millonarias discrecionales para apoyar a particulares. Una normativa concreta, con incentivos que no hipotequen el futuro de los panameños, sino que activen la inversión privada sin las trabas burocráticas o las presiones de proveedores”. Mulino aclaró que son oportunidades fiscales para quienes realicen grandes inversiones en zonas con falta de oferta o zonas aún no desarrolladas. La inversión será del bolsillo privado, que es el que debe generar riqueza para disminuir la pobreza en el país. Otro punto destacado por el presidente fue el éxito con que se manejó la operación de los puertos, entre estos el Cristóbal, garantizando cientos de puestos de trabajo. También se anunció la próxima apertura de la Tienda del Pueblo en Colón.En su intervención, el gobernante también se refirió a la recuperación de los empleos y los beneficios del programa Panamá Pa’ Ti que impulsa su gobierno. Dijo que después de 12 años, se recuperó el empleo privado, dejando atrás el nombramiento público para maquillar datos de desempleo. “Llegamos a una cifra histórica de empleo formal: 852 mil empleados formales. Pero esa no es una meta, sino un punto de partida. Vamos a generar más trabajo, atraer más inversiones con una economía fortalecida y también pensando en el futuro”, sostuvo el presidente Mulino.
