Damascus, July 23 (SANA)Syrian Airlinesdelayed its scheduled Amsterdam-to-Damascus flight Thursday after a temporary shortage of fuel supplies atAmsterdamAirport prevented the aircraft from departing on time.

The airline said the problem had been resolved and that the flight was rescheduled for Friday at the same scheduled departure time.

Passengers will receive updated travel information, and the airline said it will provide hotel accommodation until the rescheduled departure.

Syrian Airlines apologized for the inconvenience, saying the disruption resulted from circumstances beyond its control.

The carrier resumed direct flights from Amsterdam to Damascus on July 2 after several years without service, part of its effort to expand international routes and improve travel links for Syrians living abroad.
