Kuwait City, July 23 (SANA)Kuwait’s Abdali border crossing with Iraq came under a drone attack on Thursday, causing material damage but no casualties, the Kuwaiti Defense Ministry said.

Defense Ministry spokesperson Col. Saud Al-Otaibi said the attack targeted the border crossing around midday, adding that specialized teams immediately secured the site in coordination with the relevant authorities.

According to local media, bomb disposal and inspection teams launched clearance operations and removed debris in line with established safety procedures to ensure the area was free of any remaining hazards.

Located in Kuwait’s Jahra Governorate, the Abdali crossing is the country’s main land border with Iraq and a key route for passenger and commercial traffic between the two countries.

The incident comes amid continued Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting several Arab countries, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure.F.J.
