Presidente Peña encabezó reunión para coordinar los avances del WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay 2026
The meeting made it possible to verify the status of the preparations and coordinate the final actions between public and private organizations that work in an articulated manner to guarantee the success of the first date of the World Rally Championship that Paraguay will host.
Inter-institutional coordination for a world-class event
During the day, authorities from the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the National Sports Secretariat and the Organizing Committee presented reports on the progress of the work and the planned actions in terms of logistics, infrastructure, organization and institutional coordination.
The president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and member of the International Olympic Committee, Camilo Pérez López Moreira, and the Minister of Sports, César Ramírez Caje, highlighted the importance that the championship will have for national sports, tourism and the economy.
Subsequently, the CEO of the Paraguay Rally, César Marsal, presented a report on the general status of the organization of the event, while the deputy director of Major Sports Events, Larissa Schaerer, presented the progress of the different Government institutions and the planning of the activities planned for the development of the competition.
An event that will project Paraguay to the world
At the closing of the meeting, President Santiago Peñareaffirmed the Government's commitment to the organization of the WRC Ueno Rally del Paraguay 2026 and highlighted the coordinated work that the institutions have been developing to guarantee an event of international standards.
The President stressed that the arrival of the World Rally Championship represents an opportunity to position Paraguay as the venue for major international sporting events, boost tourism, boost the economy and generate a legacy of development for sport and the country.
