Damascus, July 22 (SANA)Interior MinisterAnas Khattab received Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires Jubeir Shallal Aqab and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday to discuss joint files and procedures for regulating and facilitating entry visas for Iraqi property owners and residents.

The meeting, attended by directors of the Immigration and Passports,International Cooperation, and Airport and Border Security departments, focused on measures to streamline visa processes in service of mutual interests and enhance bilateral cooperation, according to the ministry statement.

The two countries also agreed in late June to form a High Joint Coordination Committee to oversee bilateral cooperation across various sectors, following a visit by Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to Damascus.
