Damascus, July 22 (SANA)The International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, headed by QutaibaKadish, organized on Wednesday a workshop in cooperation with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) entitled “Towards More Open and Effective Public Governance in Syria.”

The workshop brought together Miriam Allam, Head of the OECD Middle East and North Africa Governance Programme, the ambassadors of Italy and Germany, as well as representatives of government institutions and international organizations.

Participants discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with international partners and exchange expertise to further develop Syria’s public governance system, support institutional reform efforts, and enhance transparency and the effectiveness of government performance.

The workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation with international partners in support of governance development and institutional modernization in Syria.H.H
