Today, special attention is being paid across the country to improving waterfront areas and creating modern infrastructure in these locations. These projects not only provide comfortable recreational spaces for the public but also create new opportunities for regional development by unlocking additional economic potential.

The embankment of the Qorasuv Canal in Urtachirchik district has become a comfortable recreational area. Construction work, which began last year, includes improvements to a 9-kilometer section of the shoreline. The project is valued at 32 billion UZS.

The project is being implemented in two stages. First, a 1.6-kilometer section of the canal bank between the Tinchlik and Qorasuv mahallas was landscaped. Residents now have access to modern pedestrian walkways, a fountain, workout areas, a water park, and a tunnel beneath the bridge.

Decorative trees have also been planted, comfortable benches have been installed, and catering and service facilities have been built in the area.

At the next stage, entertainment, recreational, and gastronomic streets are planned along the section of the canal running through the Qorasuv, Rovatak, and Fayzabad mahallas. The number of retail and service facilities will increase to six, creating 150 new jobs.
