President visits an enterprise specializing in manufacturing special-purpose vehicles and machineryPresident Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Nurafshon Makhsus Tekhnika enterprise in the city of Nurafshan.
Particular attention is being paid in the country to modernizing the automotive and mechanical engineering industries and to improving their competitiveness and efficiency.
The Nurafshon Makhsus Tekhnika enterprise was established on 25.8 hectares as part of a $50 million project. Special-purpose vehicles, military equipment, and various types of machinery are manufactured here under the KRANTAS brand, and more than 300 qualified specialists have been provided with permanent employment.
The United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Russia, China, and Türkiye supplied the equipment and technologies used in production.
To date, the enterprise has produced approximately 2,500 tons of metal structures, more than 300 vehicle superstructures, over 200 chassis, and 20 tractors. Last year, machinery and equipment valued at 275 billion UZS were supplied to customers.
The enterprise is expanding production of import-substituting goods. To support further development, a new plant is planned for construction on a 10-hectare site in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district. This will enable the localization of production valued at $15-$18 million annually.
The Head of State reviewed production processes, finished products, and modern technological solutions. During a conversation with industry officials and engineers, particular attention was given to expanding localization, developing industrial cooperation, and manufacturing high-value-added products.
