Tourism Minister, Egyptian chargé d’affaires review bilateral tourism partnership

Damascus, July 22 (SANA)Tourism Minister Mazenal-Salhanidiscussed with Egypt’s Chargé d’Affaires in Damascus, Mohamedel-Feki, prospects for expanding tourism cooperation between Syria and Egypt, with a focus on investment partnerships, private sector empowerment, and the exchange of expertise.

During the meeting, held on Wednesday at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus, the two sides explored opportunities to encourage joint tourism investments and reviewed several projects that could serve as models for cooperation between Syrian and Egyptian investors.

They also discussed mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the tourism sector, facilitate their access to markets, and enable them to benefit from investment opportunities available in both countries.

The discussions further addressed enhancing the participation of tourism establishments and companies in specialized exhibitions and forums hosted by Syria and Egypt, with the aim of expanding commercial partnerships, exchanging expertise, and creating new opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.

Syrian-Egyptian relations have witnessed notable progress since the liberation, marked by expanded cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, and tourism, increased joint investments, stronger trade and tourism exchanges, and support for development and reconstruction projects.
